After this, chant Shiva mantra and perform aarti of Lord Shiva. If you want, you can also recite Shiva Chalisa or any Shiva Stotra. Chanting the mantras of Lord Shiva on Monday of Sawan is considered auspicious. If you are not able to keep the fast, then you can take out some time on this day and chant the mantra 'Om Namah Shivay'. You can chant this mantra 11, 21, 51 or 108 times as per your convenience. While chanting the mantra, keep your attention on Lord Shiva and pray as per your devotion in your mind. It is believed that Om Namah Shivay is the main mantra of Lord Shiva.

Recite Shiv Chalisa and Shiv Stotra

If you are not able to keep the fast on Sawan Monday, then you can also do religious lessons related to Lord Shiva on this day. Shiva Chalisa, Shiva Stotra or Lord Shiva's Aarti can be recited at home. According to the calendar, in the year 2026, the holy month of Saavan will start from Thursday, July 30 and will end on Friday, August 28.
