Demand for hatchback cars remains strong in India, with 76,264 units sold last month. Maruti Wagon R was the best seller with 16,952 units. After this, cars like Swift, Baleno and Alto are also popular.

This is evidenced by last month's sales figures, where a total of 76,264 units of India's top-10 hatchback cars were sold. As always, Maruti Suzuki's Wagon R has made its place on the top in this list and has proved to be people's favorite family car. Last month alone, 16,952 Wagon R cars were sold, which is 31% more than last year.

It gives a mileage of 23 to 25 kilometers per liter on petrol. Whereas in CNG variant, it saves the customers money by giving a mileage of more than 33 kilometers. For safety, it has been provided with features like 6 airbags, ABS, EBD and hill-hold control. On the inside, there is also a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and keyless entry. Despite so many features, its starting ex-showroom price is only ₹ 4,98,900, which makes it even more special.

4. Tata Tiago: Tiago, known for its safety (4-star NCAP rating), remains in the top-5 with sales of 7,329 units.
