Jaipur, July 27 - The Rajasthan government is set to hire more than 24,000 sanitation workers on a contractual basis. An official spokesperson announced this information on Monday. According to directives issued by the Urban Development Department, interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications from August 15 to September 28.
As per a statement from the department, the state government is actively working to strengthen the sanitation system in urban bodies, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Clean India Mission. The recruitment of 24,752 contractual sanitation workers is expected to enhance urban cleanliness and contribute to the creation of clean, healthy, and empowered urban bodies, thereby advancing the objectives of the Clean India Mission. This recruitment will be conducted in accordance with the 'Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules' and its periodically revised provisions.
To be eligible, candidates must be native residents of Rajasthan. There are no specific educational qualifications required for the position of contractual sanitation worker. Candidates should be at least 21 years old and not older than 40 years as of January 1, 2027.
Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories as per regulations. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience in sanitation work within any urban body in the state to qualify for this recruitment.
