Ishan Kishan produced a blistering knock of 81 off just 44 balls as India thrashed Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20I on Saturday, clinching the three-match series with a match to spare.

Sent in to bat, India piled up a massive 219/5, powered by Kishan's nine fours and two sixes. Tilak Varma provided the late fireworks with an unbeaten 60 off 29 balls, while the 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi chipped in with a quickfire 20.

After a shaky start that saw India slip to 29/2, Kishan joined forces with captain Shreyas Iyer to add 66 runs off 42 balls. He then teamed up with Varma for a breathtaking 94-run stand off just 43 deliveries, bringing up his 13th T20I half-century in the process.

In reply, Zimbabwe never got going. They were bundled out for 129 in 17.5 overs, with Brian Bennett's 32 off 19 balls being the only notable contribution. Abhishek Sharma starred with the ball, taking 3/17, while debutant Yash Thakur claimed 2/30.

Having already won the first T20I by seven wickets, India's victory in the second gave them an unassailable 2-0 lead. The third and final game is set for Sunday at the same venue, but the series already belongs to India.
