In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on July 27, a tragic incident occurred near Bhatha village in the Dankaur police jurisdiction when a jeep lost control and plunged into the Ganga canal. This unfortunate accident resulted in the death of a woman, while her husband sustained injuries, as reported by an official.
According to Inspector Manoj Kumar Singh, the officer in charge of the Dankaur police station, a 'Thar' jeep veered off course and fell into the canal.
Upon arrival at the scene, police personnel managed to rescue the injured woman and her husband from the vehicle. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, where the woman, identified as Reena (31), succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Singh confirmed that her husband, Mohit, is currently receiving medical care.
The police have taken the body for post-mortem examination and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
