NCTE Recruitment 2026: The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has invited applications for the post of Senior Academic Consultant. This appointment will be made on a contractual basis under the National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) project. How many vacancies are there?
According to the official notification issued by the NCTE, one post of Senior Academic Consultant will be filled through this recruitment drive. The selected candidate will initially be appointed for a period of six months. The contract period may be extended based on the institute's requirements and the candidate's performance.

Who can apply?
Candidates applying for this post must not exceed 65 years of age as of the date of the advertisement's issuance. Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must possess one of the following from a recognized university or institution:

Master’s degree
B.Ed., M.Ed., or M.A. (Education)
M.Phil., Ph.D., D.Lit., or NET/SLET

Experience is also mandatory.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience. This experience should be in the capacity of an academic expert in fields such as research, training, educational technology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), e-content development, or related areas. The experience should have been gained while working in the following types of institutions:

Central or State Government
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
Statutory bodies
Universities
Other recognized educational institutions

Preference for these qualifications
The NCTE has also outlined certain desirable qualifications. These include:

Good communication skills in both Hindi and English
Understanding of education policy formulation and implementation
Experience in research, report writing, and data analysis
Experience working on projects related to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
Good knowledge of computers and digital communication tools

A walk-in interview for this recruitment will be held on July 30, 2026, at 10:30 AM. Eligible candidates are required to appear for the interview at the scheduled time with all necessary documents.
