Cape Verde's Sidny Lopes Cabral has been named the winner of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Goal of the Tournament award after his brilliant strike against Argentina finished top in the public vote.

The midfielder's memorable effort came in Cape Verde's dramatic Round of 32 meeting with the defending champions in Miami, where he bent a superb long-range finish past Argentina's goalkeeper in extra time to bring the match level at 2-2.
