'Premalu' star Naslen to headline Madhu C Narayanan's next directorial, shoot to begin soon

Actor Naslen is set to headline the next directorial venture of filmmaker Madhu C Narayanan, best known for the critically acclaimed ' Kumbalangi Nights '. The makers officially unveiled the project on Monday through a social media announcement shared by producer Ananthu S , who appeared in a short video alongside the actor and the director.
According to Cinema Express, while the title and storyline remain under wraps, the team confirmed that filming will commence shortly. The project is being jointly backed by Dr Ananthu Productions and Silent Cat Films, making it the first production venture under Madhu C Narayanan's own banner.
Madhu returns after seven-year gapThe announcement marks Madhu C Narayanan's return to directing seven years after the release of 'Kumbalangi Nights', a coming-of-age drama that received widespread critical appreciation across the country.
The filmmaker had earlier hinted at the project in February last year when he issued a casting call for a female lead between the ages of 20 and 25, preferably someone fluent in the Kochi dialect.
Naslen's busy line-upNaslen was most recently seen in Abhinav Sunder Nayak's 'Mollywood Times'. The young actor currently has several projects in different stages of production, including Amal Neerad's 'Bachelor Party D'eux', Rohith V S's 'Tiki Taka', starring Asif Ali, and Tharun Moorthy 's 'Torpedo'.
Apart from his Malayalam projects, the 'Premalu' star is also gearing up for his Tamil debut in Jithu Madhavan's upcoming film featuring Suriya. The film has already completed production.

Production house expands its slateProducer Ananthu S, who also serves as the founder and CEO of Xylem Learning, entered Malayalam cinema with 'Athiradi', which he co-produced with actor-filmmaker Basil Joseph. His growing production slate also includes the debut feature from Malayalam content creators Karikku and '40 Days of House Party', directed by first-time filmmaker Shifina Babin Pakker , wife of 'Aavesham' director Jithu Madhavan .
