She refuted the claims, stating, “I am shocked to see fake statements on false reservations attached to my name.” She urged her followers not to believe such misinformation, confirming that these statements are entirely false. Shilpa described the fabricated comments as 'malicious garbage' and emphasized, 'Do not fall for this fake news!' Her clarification was shared on both Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
Details of the Fake Screenshot The actress found herself at the center of controversy after a misleading screenshot began circulating online. This image was purportedly taken from Shilpa's Instagram account and suggested that she supported a controversial stance on caste-based reservations in healthcare. The alleged statement read, “Don't touch the reservation. Let general category doctors treat only general category patients and let everyone else treat only patients from their own caste. Do this for a few years and people will start asking to end caste-based reservation themselves. You can't get skill through reservation.”
