New Delhi: BJP MP Anil Bonde on Tuesday attacked Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. He said that the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, did not like any person from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The attack by the BJP came after Gandhi questioned PM Narendra Modi for appointing Prahlad Joshi as the new Education Minister. Both Rahul Gandhi and his sister, Priyanka Gandhi, Wayanad MP, had questioned the appointment of Joshi as the Education Minister. They said that the PM had replaced one RSS man, read Pradhan with another, that is Joshi.

There were also some other allegations made by the Gandhi siblings against Joshi. But the Lok Sabha Speaker expunged the remarks from the Parliament records. This despite Priyanka Gandhi promising to submit evidence to back her views.

The BJP on the other hand attacked Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against the Union Education Minister. Bonde said that Gandhi had abused PM Narendra Modi multiple times. He recalled that Rahul Gandhi used the slogan “Chowkidar Chor Hai” against the PM and also called him a murderer.

Bonde said, “Rahul Gandhi has been able to say everything against Modi. So, one cannot expect anything different from Rahul Gandhi when it comes to anyone in Modi’s Council of Ministers.”

The remarks by the BJP leader came after a sharp exchange between Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Education Minister Prahlad Joshi in the Lok Sabha, during the debate on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026. The Opposition is attacking the government over the Bill and also questioning the use of force on the student protestors, during the recent NEET-UG paper leak protests in Delhi and other places in India.

Several MPs raised the issue of police brutality on the students. They questioned the use of pellet guns and also tear gas on protestors in Delhi.
