Pakistani army is committing atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir, protest of Kashmiri activists in Britain

Kashmiri activists staged a massive protest outside the Pakistan Consulate in Bradford, UK on Tuesday against the alleged torture and killings of protesters by security forces in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The protesters condemned the incidents in Rawalkot and Mirpur areas in the last two days. He alleged that Pakistani security forces used excessive force and fired on protesters demanding basic rights and good governance, killing several civilians. Carrying placards and chanting slogans, the demonstrators appealed to the international community to pressure Pakistan to end its crackdown in PoK.
UN response
The unrest has drawn international attention. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights expressed concern over the violence. United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk appealed for calm and noted that dozens of people (mostly protesters and some law enforcement officers) have been killed since June. He appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and respect human rights.
Attitude of India
India has reiterated its traditional stance on the events in PoK. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that these protests are a direct result of systematic exploitation and administrative repression by Islamabad in PoK for decades.
