Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, 23, is said to have reached an agreement in principle to join Liverpool, according to information from L’Équipe.
After making it clear to the club’s management that he does not want to extend his contract, which runs until 2028, with Les Rouge et Bleu, the French wide player is understood to have recently held talks with the Reds’ new manager, Andoni Iraola, about a possible move.
Even though the two clubs are still a long way from agreeing the terms of a transfer at this point, Liverpool and PSG are indeed in discussions to try to find common ground. The final outcome of the deal could depend on a fee above €120m.
At 23, and after three successful years in the French capital, Barcola is now eager to move his career to the next level and establish himself as a possible first-choice player at a major European club. Often pushed into the role of 12th man in PSG’s big matches in recent months, the Lyon-born player now appears determined to spread his wings, with Anfield reportedly identified as his preferred destination if the transfer goes through.
