The Supreme Court has issued a major order regarding the violence and police action that occurred during protests against the NEET paper leak across the country, including at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The Supreme Court issued the order, directing the immediate release of all students taken into police custody and arrested, against whom no criminal charges have been filed.
The Supreme Court has issued notices to Delhi, Bihar, Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala seeking their responses to the violence that occurred during the NEET protests. The Supreme Court ordered the preservation of all CCTV footage. The court stated that no action will be taken against those who have no previous cases against them but were charged during the protests.
