Crash Test: Tata Motors, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturing companies, offers its cars and electric vehicles in many segments. The company’s compact electric SUV Tata Punch EV has performed brilliantly in terms of safety. Recently, the results of the crash test conducted by Bharat NCAP have been released, in which the Punch EV has received an excellent safety rating.
Bharat NCAP test of Tata Punch EV done
Tata Punch EV has been launched by the company in the Indian market as a compact electric SUV. Bharat NCAP crash tested this electric SUV and evaluated its safety capability, after which its safety rating has been revealed.
Got 5-star rating for safety
According to the Bharat NCAP report, Tata Punch EV has received a 5-star safety rating in both Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection. This rating reflects the SUV’s strong body structure and safety features.
What was the score for adult passengers?
Tata Punch EV performed brilliantly in adult safety in the crash test. It scored 15.28 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.80 points in the side movable barrier test.
Along with this, the electric SUV scored a total of 31.09 points out of 32 in the Adult Occupant Protection category.
Excellent performance in child safety also
Tata Punch EV also performed well in terms of child safety in Bharat NCAP test. In the Child Occupant Protection test, it scored 24 points in Dynamic Score, 12 points in CRS Installation and 9 points in Vehicle Assessment Score (VAS).
Overall, Punch EV scored 45 out of 49 points in the child safety category.
Crash test took place in May 2026
According to Bharat NCAP, the crash test of Tata Punch EV was conducted in May 2026. Now its official results have been released. With a 5-star rating, Punch EV makes its strong place among the safe electric SUVs of India.
