Finally the speculations have come to be true, as Mohanlal is officially a part of the upcoming Vysakh and prithviraj Sukumaran 's action flick 'Khalifa'.

The makers of 'Khalifa: Part 1' have shared a major update ahead of the film's theatrical release. Veteran actor Mohanlal has officially completed dubbing for his special appearance in the Prithviraj Sukumaran-led action entertainer.

Production team shares pictures from dubbing sessionThe announcement was made through Prithviraj Sukumaran's official social media network, Poffactio, which posted photographs of Mohanlal during the dubbing process.

The caption read, "Mambarakkal Ahammadali has officially finished his magic in Part 1! Thank you so much, Mohanlal Sir. Now, the real wait begins for Part 2… can’t wait to witness the incredible surprises he has in store for us. The journey is only just beginning."

About 'Khalifa: Part 1'
Directed by Vysakh, 'Khalifa: Part 1' features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and Malvika Sharma. The screenplay has been penned by Jinu V. Abraham.

The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 20, 2026, during Onam season. The action drama which is helmed by the 'Pulimurugan' director, centres on Aamir Ali, who oversees a far-reaching gold trading empire with operations across the Middle East, London, Nepal and Kerala.

After inheriting the business from his grandfather, Mambarakkal Ahammadali, reportedly played by Mohanlal, he finds himself navigating questions of power, legacy and family responsibility
