The latest episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa saw the family members and friends of the inmates enter the jail, adding an exciting twist to the show. Ram Kapoor 's wife Gautami Kapoor also entered the show and she was seen apologising to the female contestants for her husband's habit of hugging and kissing.
For those who are not aware, one of the biggest highlights of the episode was Ram Kapoor's habit of hugging the female contestants and kissing them on the forehead. Earlier on the show, Shreya Kalra had repeatedly said that Ram's gestures made her feel uncomfortable. After entering inside Lock Upp, Ram's wife reacted to the entire controversy and apologised to all the women in the house on his behalf.
Gautami apologised to Shreya Kalra on behalf of her husbandGautami first met her husband and showered hugs and kisses on him. She then approached Shreya with folded hands and said, "Mata ji, agar kuch galti ho gayi ho to maaf kar dena." She added, "Agar inhone aapko galat touch kiya hai, agar inhone kuch thuka hai aap pe to please main inki taraf se maafi mangti hoon." She then hugged Shreya and, in a sarcastic remark, asked, "If I hug you, you are not going to say anything na?" Shreya smiled and replied, "No."
Gautami then addressed the other female contestants and said, "To all the women, if Ram has made you feel uncomfortable, I apologise on his behalf. He is like that only."
For the uninitiated, the controversy started when Shreya shared with Shilpa that Ram's habit of kissing and hugging is making her uncomfortable. While speaking to Shilpa, Shreya alleged that Ram was getting “too close” to contestants during a task and said he should “maintain some boundaries.”
She also claimed that if he tried to kiss her again, she would stop him, adding that “my father doesn’t kiss me this much.” Her comments have quickly grabbed attention on social media.
In another episode, Apoorva Mukhija also spoke about being uncomfortable with Ram's behaviour and asked, "Bhai yeh kiss kyun karte rehte hain? Mujhe gussa aa raha hai."
