After months of anticipation, producer Namit Malhotra finally released the trailer on the morning of July 30th. Fans praised the film after watching the trailer. He plays the role of Vidyutjihva, a demon prince and the husband of Shurpanakha (played by Rakul Preet Singh). Sporting a beard, mustache, and battle armor, he looks completely transformed. His character is said to play a pivotal role in the story of the Ramayana and Ravana's rise to power.

Apart from his role in the film, Vivek Oberoi is also making headlines for not charging any fee for his performance. Speaking to *Hindustan Times*, the actor revealed that he had requested producer Namit Malhotra to donate his fee.
