Urvashi returns to Kannada cinema after 8 years; says 'It brings me immense joy' as daughter Tejalakshmi makes debut with 'Bully'

Veteran actress Urvashi is all set to return to the Kannada film industry after an eight-year gap. The actress will be seen in the upcoming dark comedy ‘Bully’, which also marks the Sandalwood debut of her daughter, Tejalakshmi Urvashi Nair. The film will also be the first time the mother and daughter will share screen space in a Kannada film.
Urvashi shares her happinessThe makers officially announced the title of the film at Kanteerava Studio after paying tribute at the memorial of legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar. According to Deccan Herald, Urvashi said she has always shared a special bond with the Kannada film industry and is happy to return with such a meaningful project.
She said, “I have a deep, spiritual bond with the Kannada film industry, having worked alongside legends from Dr. Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, and Ambareesh to Anant Nag, Ravichandran, and Ramesh Aravind.”
Speaking about her daughter’s debut, the actress added, “It brings me immense joy that my daughter Teja is starting her Kannada film journey with this project. When Bhuvan and his team came to Chennai to narrate the script, I connected with it immediately. If I hadn't done this film, I would have missed out on a wonderful opportunity.”

Shooting status of ‘Bully’The makers have successfully completed the first shooting schedule of ‘Bully’ in Bengaluru. The schedule included several important emotional and comedy scenes featuring Urvashi.
