Nicholas Pooran walked in at the Kia Oval with MI London's chase in a precarious state and left 22 balls later having settled the contest entirely. Early Pressure from Sunrisers' Bowlers
Sunrisers made a sharp start with the ball. Brydon Carse was the standout performer in the powerplay, dismissing Will Jacks in the sixth over — the opener spooning a catch to Benny Howell at cover after being beaten by movement off the seam — and then removing Jason Roy two balls later for a duck, caught at slip by Mitchell Marsh. Curran showed his hand first, launching a six over midwicket off Abrar Ahmed in the 37th ball of the chase, and the spin of Benny Howell and the off-breaks of Dan Lawrence gave both batters slightly more to work with.
