It is always said about cricket that every run is precious because it can change the fate and picture of any player or match. This scene was seen in the thrilling match played between UAE and Malaysia in the Asia Qualifier of ICC Women's Under-19 World Cup 2027, where UAE won the final by 1 run and qualified for the World Cup for the first time.

UAE won by scoring only 95 runs

No stormy batting and big scores were seen in this final of the Asia Qualifier played in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Rather, a very small score was made, which the opposing team could not chase. In this match, UAE women's team batted first and the entire team was all out after scoring only 95 runs in 19.3 overs. Opener Al Masira Jahangir scored the maximum 31 runs for the team. Four batsmen of the team were run out.

But who knew that the target of 96 runs would also prove to be impossible for Malaysia Under-19 team. Malaysia's batsmen played full 20 overs and only 6 wickets fell but still the team could score only 94 runs and lost the final by 1 run. Noorin Imanina scored the maximum 36 runs for the team. Opener Noor Aliya's slow innings of 12 runs in 25 balls overshadowed the team and they missed qualifying for the World Cup with a defeat by 1 run.

Qualified by winning all the matches

UAE, captained by Mehak Thakur, did not lose a single match in this entire qualifying tournament. In this eight-team tournament, UAE won all its 5 matches including the final and qualified for the World Cup. Now the team will participate in this tournament to be held in Bangladesh and Nepal in 2027, in which a total of 16 teams will stake claim for the title.
