Paytm New Feature: After a weekend trip, birthday party, movie, or dinner with friends, the biggest hassle is often calculating expenses. Keeping track of who paid what, who owes how much, and who needs to be reimbursed isn't easy. To simplify this, Paytm has introduced a new 'Split Bills' feature in its app. It allows users to keep a record of all group expenses in one place, determine each member's share, and easily settle payments via Paytm UPI.
How does the Split Bills feature work?
This new Paytm feature makes managing group expenses incredibly easy.
Here is how it works:
Create a Group: Friends can form a group and add all shared expenses in one place.
Flexible Splitting: You can choose to split the bill equally or divide it based on exact amounts, percentages, or specific shares.
Clear Group Summary: The group summary provides a clear view of details such as total expenses, individual dues, pending balances, and recent activity.
Payment Reminders: Users can send reminders to friends for outstanding amounts directly through the Paytm app.
Easy Settlement: Outstanding amounts can be easily settled using Paytm UPI.
Record Off-App Payments: If a member pays via cash, card, or another UPI app, the payment can be marked as 'Received' within the app.
It is worth noting that users can add as many expenses as they wish using this feature. The company does not charge any extra fees for this service.
How to use the Paytm Split Bills feature?
If you want to use this feature to split expenses with your group, follow these simple steps:
Open the App: First, open the Paytm app on your phone and tap on the 'Pay Anyone' option. Select the feature: Tap on the 'Split Bills' option.

Choose the split method: Select who made the payment and how the bill should be split—equally, by exact amount, by shares, or by percentage.
