New Delhi: The grand finale of India Couture Week 2026 ended on a spectacular note as actor Sobhita Dhulipala took to the runway for designer Rahul Mishra’s latest couture collection, Devi: The Eternal Muse. Rather than presenting a conventional showstopper moment, the presentation unfurled like a theatrical performance inspired by mythology, heritage and Indian craftsmanship. Sobhita’s ensemble evolved on the runway through a live styling sequence, turning the spotlight into a celebration of feminine grace and couture artistry.

Combining sculptural silhouettes, intricate embellishments and references to ancient Indian art, the look reflected Rahul Mishra’s signature approach of combining traditional techniques with contemporary design. Sobhita opened her runway appearance in a sculptural corset-style jumpsuit inspired by temple art. The mesh bodice featured layered necklace-style embroidery reminiscent of motifs seen in the Ajanta Caves, while an ornate crystal-embellished belt highlighted the waist with intricate beadwork and dangling accents.

The fitted nude-toned lower half was paired with asymmetrical ivory satin drapes outlined with crystal detailing, creating a structured yet fluid silhouette that echoed the collection’s divine inspiration.

One of the evening’s defining moments came when fellow models surrounded Sobhita on the runway as part of a choreographed shringar sequence. Instead of simply completing a walk, she underwent a live couture transformation before the audience.

An embellished champagne-toned overskirt was draped over the fitted jumpsuit, while a Magnolia-inspired couture hair accessory completed the styling. The dramatic presentation reinforced the collection’s narrative celebrating the many forms of feminine beauty.

For her second runway appearance, Sobhita wore the flowing A-line overskirt over the jumpsuit, allowing glimpses of the fitted silhouette underneath. Richly decorated with tonal sequins, crystals, floral embroidery and beadwork, the sheer creation added movement and depth to the couture ensemble.

She accessorised with a statement diamond choker, understated earrings and metallic open-toe heels. Her beauty look featured winged smoky eyeliner, defined brows, highlighted cheeks and a nude-brown matte lip, while sleek centre-parted hair styled into soft waves balanced the elaborate couture detailing.
