There is important news for candidates applying for the Railway Group D recruitment 2026. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification announcing a change in the exam dates. Previously, the exam was scheduled to be held at centers across the country from August 3 to August 21; however, it will now be conducted from August 3 to August 25, 2026.

**Exam to be held over a total of 16 days**
According to the new notification, the exam will be conducted over a total of 16 days: August 3–6, August 9–14, August 17–21, and August 25, 2026.

**Admit cards could be released at any time**
Admit cards for the RRB Group D recruitment exam are scheduled to be released four days prior to the exam date. Consequently, it is expected that the admit cards for all applicants will be made available for download today or tomorrow (July 31, 2026).

**Steps to download the admit card**
To download the RRB Group D admit card 2026, visit the official website.
Click on the active admit card link on the website's homepage.
Enter your login credentials (registration number, password/date of birth) and submit.
The admit card will appear on the screen; you can then download and print it.

**Link to be sent via email and SMS**
The Railway Department will also send a direct link to the admit card to all applicants via SMS to their registered mobile numbers and emails. Candidates can download their hall tickets directly by clicking on this link.

**Two identity proofs required at the center**
The RRB has made an important announcement regarding the recruitment. All candidates are required to carry two original identity proofs to the exam center. One of the ID proofs must be the same one the candidate entered in the application form. Additionally, candidates must ensure their Aadhaar card is in an 'unlocked' status. 

How many vacancies are being filled?
