As part of the Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan being launched by the BJP to commemorate the 650th birth anniversary of Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, the urn filled with sacred soil from the birthplace of Saint Ravidas Ji, brought by District General Secretary of the Scheduled Castes Front, Ankit Mandela, from the Seer Govardhanpur Temple, the birthplace of Saint Ravidas Ji in Varanasi, was given a grand welcome in the district.
Under the leadership of BJP District President Dilip Patel Dev, hundreds of district workers and officials, along with dozens of four-wheelers and two-wheelers, participated in the procession. The sacred urn was placed on an attractively decorated chariot and brought to the BJP District Office, Atal Bhawan, with full reverence and respect. During the procession, workers chanted slogans in praise of Saint Ravidas Ji and welcomed the urn with a shower of flowers. Upon reaching the BJP District Office, Atal Bhawan, the sacred urn was welcomed.
On this occasion, BJP District President Dilip Patel Dev said that Saint Ravidas Ji was a great saint of the Indian saint tradition who gave society the invaluable message of equality, harmony, humanity, love, and brotherhood. He said that the arrival of the sacred soil from Guru Ravidas Ji’s birthplace in Varanasi in the district is a matter of pride, faith, and inspiration for all of us. It is not just soil, but a symbol of the saint tradition, social harmony, and the great values of Indian culture. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP is continuously working to spread the ideas of saints, great men, and social reformers to the public and to preserve their legacy. He said that in the coming days, the Kalash will reach every Mandal and Shakti Kendra in the district.
Significantly present at the event were Yamuna Prasad Chaturvedi, Rama Shankar Singh, former MLA Triveni Ram, Anita Kamal, General Secretary Baba Ram Shabd Yadav, Vimlendra Pratap Singh, District Media Incharge Balmiki Upadhyay, Vinay Pandey, along with BJP officials, Scheduled Caste Front officials, Mandal Presidents, Shakti Kendra Coordinators, Booth Presidents, and many BJP workers.
