Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale launched a scathing attack on Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He said that it is Rahul Gandhi’s job to blame PM Modi and Amit Shah, and that he will never come to power.

Speaking to the media in Lucknow, Ramdas Athawale said that Rahul Gandhi constantly accuses Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Blaming Amit Shah for the lathicharge during the march to Parliament is completely wrong.

Athawale clarified, “When we break through barricades, the police resort to lathicharge. We have faced this many times ourselves. It is the police’s job to take action. We do not support such action, but blaming Amit Shah is wrong. After all, these youth were our own people.”

Regarding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Athawale said that those involved in paper leaks and tampering with the examination system have tarnished the name of the country and society. Strict action should be taken against such people. Pradhan resigned at the demand of the youth, which is the right step. Deserving candidates should get justice.

Regarding the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Ramdas Athawale expressed confidence that the atmosphere is extremely favorable for the NDA. He said, “We (the NDA) are confident of winning 250 to 275 seats or even more.”

Commenting on the SP-Congress alliance, Athawale said that their alliance may remain intact, but their grand ambitions will not be fulfilled. The SP-Congress will not receive Dalit votes. Considering the possibility of a 5-10 percent vote transfer to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), he said he would speak with Yogi Adityanath and Amit Shah about including the RPI in the NDA.

Recalling Kargil Vijay Diwas, Ramdas Athawale said that the Kargil War will always be remembered. He praised the role of then-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid tribute to the martyred soldiers.

The Union Minister of State arrived in Lucknow on a one-day visit. Athawale said that our resolve to spread the ideas of social justice, equality, and fraternity of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar to every person and to ensure the rights, respect, and empowerment of the deprived, exploited, and neglected sections of society remains unwavering.
