Due to the monsoon, heavy rains are falling in many states of the country these days. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 17 states of the country today. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain and storm in Rajasthan as well as Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Rainfall activities will be more prevalent in eastern parts of Rajasthan today, while several districts in western Rajasthan are also on alert for light to moderate rain. Rain is likely to occur in most areas of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions today. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thundershowers in several districts of these divisions.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain at some places in Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Baran, Bundi and Jhalawar of Rajasthan today. Waterlogging may occur in low lying areas and water level of small drains may increase. Along with the capital Jaipur, there may be intermittent rain in Alwar, Dausa, Bharatpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk and Sikar. Light to moderate rain may occur in Jodhpur, Pali, Nagaur, Jalore, Sirohi, Bikaner, Churu, Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh. Due to rain, people have got relief from the scorching heat in most of the districts of Rajasthan. People will continue to get relief from the heat.
