Two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs have now stepped up their interest in signing Barcelona star Ferran Torres. The development comes amid continued uncertainty over the situation of the versatile attacker in the Catalan capital.
Ferran, for his part, has been strongly linked with a move away from Barcelona during the current summer transfer window.
With his existing contract due to expire in 12 months, the 26-year-old has emerged as a possible market opportunity for a number of clubs across Europe.
So far, French champions Paris Saint-Germain have been most regularly mentioned as a possible destination for Ferran ahead of next season. Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid are also believed to be interested.
And, as mentioned above, a new pair of suitors has this week been identified in the media. The information comes from Diario Sport, citing several outlets in England, which reports:
“Tottenham and Arsenal would be interested in the future of the footballer.”
It is claimed that both London clubs are seriously considering making offers for Ferran before the summer transfer window closes.
