New Delhi: The continuous rainfall in Bilaspur district is now affecting people’s health. The number of patients at SIMS Hospital is rapidly increasing amid the downpour. Around 2,000 patients are arriving daily for treatment in the outpatient department. Most of these patients suffer from symptoms such as colds, viral fever, stomach pain, and malaria. Doctors have urged people to exercise special caution during the rainy season.
The continuous rain has increased the humidity in the weather, leading to the rapid spread of viral infections. This is directly affecting the outpatient department of SIMS Hospital, where a large number of patients, from children to the elderly, are seeking treatment. According to hospital management, approximately 2,000 patients are arriving daily, with the number of patients suffering from viral fever, colds, coughs, stomach infections, and malaria steadily increasing.
Doctors say that contaminated water and unsanitary food can cause many illnesses during the rainy season. Therefore, people should avoid eating food sold in the open and stale food. Drink only boiled or filtered water, and maintain cleanliness in the home and surroundings. Doctors advise that if you experience problems like fever, persistent cough, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain, seek medical advice immediately instead of taking medication without consulting a doctor to prevent the illness from becoming serious.
