Islamabad. India has drawn international attention to the deaths of 40 people in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) when the Pakistani Army fired on protesters, demanding an investigation. India said Pakistan has admitted to sending Mujahideen to India to sow bloodshed.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a press conference on Friday that more than 40 people have been killed in PoK in firing on protesters. Pakistan’s Defense Minister called these people its enemies. The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs openly admitted that the Mujahideen, whom the Pakistani government trained and armed and sent to shed blood in India, are now using these weapons against Pakistan itself. Jaiswal said, “This has confirmed Pakistan’s actions.”

Attack on unarmed people in PoK:
People’s anger is increasing against Pakistan’s brutality in PoK. It is alleged that security forces are using force on unarmed people. People are being killed, media is banned. On Friday, people came out on the streets against Pakistan and protested fiercely. Sardar Aman Khan Kashmiri, a resident of Rawalkot and social media influencer Aqeel issued a statement saying that Pakistan is using force on people protesting peacefully. Both have appealed to the national and international media to tell about the ground reality of the situation.

Aman Khan accused police officials of labeling peaceful protesters as terrorists. Pak Rangers, Frontier Corps, and other security forces are stationed on the rooftops of homes and targeting innocent people. Aman Khan said that security forces are using lethal weapons, typically used for national security, against unarmed people. “We will not back down until our demands are met,” he said.

In response to a question, Jaiswal said that 139 Indians have been released by the Russian army so far. Currently, 24 Indians are reported to be there. The government is trying to secure their release. Public anger against Pakistan’s brutality in PoK is growing. There are allegations that security forces are using force against unarmed people. People are being killed, and the media is under restrictions.

Responding to a US newspaper report describing PoK as Pakistani Kashmir, the Ministry of External Affairs said that international organizations and media outlets must use the legal names for PoK. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are, have been, and will always remain integral parts of India.
