'G.D.N' new poster: Makers introduce Jenson Dhivakar as Vellaiyan in the R Madhavan starrer biographical period drama

The makers of director Krishnakumar Ramakumar’s upcoming period film ‘GDN’ have introduced actor Jenson Dhivakar ’s look from the movie. The film stars R Madhavan in the lead role and is based on the life of legendary Indian inventor, agriculturist and philanthropist G. D. Naidu .
‘ G.D.N ’ makers share new posterThe production house shared Jenson’s character poster on social media. Along with the poster, they wrote, “Introducing @dhivakargj as Vellaiyan. Some stories are written in gratitude. G.D.N in theatres from 7th August.”
The makers have been introducing important characters from the film one by one. Earlier, they revealed that Karunakaran plays Perunkili, while Aditi Balan will be seen as Padmavathi.
They also introduced veteran actress Sheela as the young Chellamal and actor Teejay Arunasalam as the young G. D. Naidu.
The trailer shows that G. D. Naidu became successful through his UMS transport service and also started a polytechnic engineering college. However, his growing success attracted many enemies. They tried to stop him by making false allegations and ordering searches at his properties.
The trailer also shows that G. D. Naidu questioned the government after facing unfair taxes. Later, the British government accused him of treason, making his fight even more difficult.
Cast of ‘G.D.N’Apart from Madhavan, ‘GDN’ features Jayaram, Carl Andrew Harte, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Karunakaran, Sathyaraj, Aditi Balan, Vinay Rai and Teejay Arunasalam in important roles.
One of the most powerful moments in the trailer comes when Aditi Balan's character says, “If the story of a hunt is written by the lion without the hunter in it, then the meaning of courage itself will change.”
The film has music composed by Govind Vasantha.
