Monsoons days are quite cosy and flavourful and hold many memories. From the fresh earthly smell to hot fritters and tea… This season in India is a celebration with many different local practices and a variety of food and flavour that follows. While the beginning of the monsoon in Mumbai happened late and later almost flooded many parts of this city, the recent moderately beautiful rains have everyone’s heart. They have got everyone to rejoice this season. So is fashion actress Mugdha Godse , who is not only enjoying the rainy days but also reminiscing about her childhood monsoon memories.

In a candid conversation with ETimes, Mugdha said, “Rainy days used to be so much fun. Wishing it poured a little extra, so we could skip school and sleep a little extra… The best part was the amazing food that my mom cooked when it would rain heavily. Garama garam bhajiyas and chai were to go, but at times she even made poha, upma, and sheera, topping them up with her special masala chai . I bet no one could make it like her!! Sometimes I used to sneak out of my house to get drenched in the rain… It’s been my favourite monsoon activity!! And that smell of the soil… It still has my heart.”

“The initial days of this year’s monsoon were pretty tough on everyone, as there was waterlogging and alerts. Now that the rains have gone moderate, the spirit of the monsoon is alive… I miss the food that my mom used to cook, but yes, my evening ritual on the days that I’m not shooting is to sit by my window, read a book, sip some coffee or tea and watch the beautiful rains,” added Godse.

Mugdha is a versatile actress who recently made her special appearance in Zed 5’s 'FRAMES', which has received several awards and nominations. She is seen performing various different types of roles in the newly growing vertical medium too.
