Devoleena Bhattacharjee cries as her mother gets stuck in Assam flood; says, “I knew I would break down”

Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee reacted to the devastating Assam floods with an emotional video on Instagram, breaking down as she spoke about her family’s situation. The actress revealed that her mother is currently stuck in flood-hit Nazira , leaving her deeply worried and helpless. Sharing her pain, Devoleena explained why she had stayed silent until now, admitting that she knew she would not be able to hold back her emotions if she spoke about it earlier.
Speaking about the situation, she said, “I’m so sorry. This is the reason I haven’t been able to make a video, I knew I would break down.”
Opening up about her deep connection to the affected areas, Devoleena shared, “Sivasagar and Nazira are where I grew up; I was born there, and my schooling and college were all there.” Explaining why she stayed silent until now, she added, “The reason I wasn’t making a video is because I simply couldn’t handle it.”
Talking about her family’s situation, the actress revealed, “Sadly and unfortunately, my mother is still stuck in Nazira.” She further said, “But by God’s grace, our old house is in an area that hasn’t been completely flooded.”
However, the loss around her been devastating. Devoleena expressed, “My grandmother’s house and my aunt’s house have been completely submerged.” Describing the extent of destruction, she said, “Everything is finished. Nothing is left.” She concluded by adding, “As you can see in the videos, there is absolutely nothing remaining.”
Her emotional video has left fans deeply concerned, with many pouring in support and prayers for her family and everyone affected by the floods in Assam.
