Chief Minister Launches ₹333.25 Crore Development Initiatives in Chamba

Today, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the groundwork for 26 development initiatives totaling ₹333.25 crore within the Chamba Assembly area.
Among the highlights was the inauguration of a newly constructed 200-bed facility at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College & Hospital, Chamba, which was developed at a cost of ₹158 crore.
The Chief Minister also launched several road improvement projects, which include:
- Shahpur–Sihunta–Chuwari–Chamba road (₹14.11 crore)
- Parel–Kohlari road (₹13.65 crore)
- Parel–Chamba–Banikhet road (₹11.53 crore)
- Luddu–Gharmaari road (₹6.85 crore)
- Sarahan–Raan road (₹5.78 crore)
- Bhanera–Devidehra–Rathiyar–Mankot road (₹5.68 crore)
- Box girder bridge over Ravi river at Kariya–Bhariya–Kothi road (₹4.61 crore)
Foundation stones were also laid for significant projects, including:
- Vehicle parking facility at Bhagat, Chamba (Phase‑1) valued at ₹25 crore
- Village link roads at various locations including Drabla (₹12.59 crore), Sanohta (₹5.29 crore), Sach–Fatehpur (₹6.47 crore), and others.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for a District Drug Store and Vaccination Depot at the Leprosy Hospital complex in Sarol, which will be constructed at a cost of ₹3.72 crore.
