Pramod Tiwari Statement: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari has once again caused a stir in the country’s political circles with his harsh tone. At a press conference in the capital, Delhi, he made comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal life, which have now sparked a huge uproar. Pramod Tiwari didn’t stop there; he also criticized the central government regarding the consecration ceremony and the entire construction process of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Referring to the election results and religious traditions, the Congress MP directly targeted PM Modi. Following his statement, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a counter-offensive, accusing the Congress of insulting Sanatan traditions and the country’s Prime Minister.
“In Treta Yuga, Ram had Sita, who does Modi have today?”
While addressing reporters, Pramod Tiwari cited mythological stories and brought up the Ashwamedha Yagya of Lord Ram, the eminent personality. He said that when Lord Rama performed the yagya in the Treta Yuga, Mother Sita was not with him. However, following the scriptures, Lord Rama kept a golden statue of Mother Sita beside him.
Continuing this, he took a dig at the Prime Minister. Tiwari said, “When the temple worship was being shown on TV, I kept searching for Mother Sita. In those days, she was Ram’s Sita, but who is Modi’s Sita today? The Prime Minister himself is deciding that.”
“The temple was built by court order, the BJP should not take false credit”
Referring to the grand Ram temple built in Ayodhya, the Congress leader tried to dispel the BJP’s claims. He clearly stated that the temple in Ayodhya was not built due to the grace of any political party or the central government. All this was possible due to the historic decision of the country’s highest court (Supreme Court).
“Due to legal obligations, the government had to proceed with the construction of the temple. But the ruling party always prioritized its petty politics over faith.” — Pramod Tiwari, senior Congress leader
Allegations of worship in an incomplete temple and haste to win elections
Pramod Tiwari also raised serious questions about the timing of the Pran-Pratishtha. He directly alleged that the BJP was so desperate to win the Lok Sabha elections that religious beliefs were ignored. In fact, the worship was hastily performed in an incomplete temple with the election in mind. Citing scriptures, he said that at the time of the worship, neither the temple’s spire was ready, nor the Dharmadhwaja hoisted, nor the pavilion completed. However, the scriptures prohibit worship in an incomplete temple.
Called the election results as the public’s response
Referring to the recent Lok Sabha election results, Pramod Tiwari said that the people of the country have understood everything. Attacking the BJP, he said that the public has shown the mirror to those who seek votes in the name of Lord Ram. The BJP’s seat count has dropped significantly below 306, which is enough to show that the people have completely rejected their electoral agenda.
On the other hand, the BJP was quick to retaliate immediately after Pramod Tiwari’s statement. BJP spokespersons say that Congress leaders are constantly crossing the limits of decency and expressing their frustration by commenting on the Prime Minister’s personal life.
