SP MLA Ashutosh Maurya alias Raju injured in road accident, cars collide near Ganga Expressway in Badaun

Badaun. Samajwadi Party MLA Ashutosh Maurya alias Raju from Bisauli Assembly Constituency of Badaun district of UP was injured in a road accident on Sunday. He was going to Bagrain to attend a religious program. His car collided with another oncoming car on Bisauli Road near Ganga Expressway. Four people including the MLA were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred near the Ganga Expressway near the village of Bankota in the Wazirganj police station area. The collision was so severe that the airbags in both vehicles deployed. However, no one was seriously injured. MLA Ashutosh Maurya, his driver Mukesh Yadav, and gunner Dev Singh suffered minor injuries. Doctors provided first aid and sent all three home. The MLA was on his way to attend a religious event and Kalash Yatra in the village of Bagrain.

Bank cashier also injured

Arvind Kumar Mishra, cashier of District Cooperative Bank Asafpur, Shiv Kumar Maurya, cashier of Bisauli, Dharmendra Kumar Singh, cashier of Sahaswan and Rahul Kumar were going to Guru Poojan program in Badaun in the second vehicle. Arvind Kumar Mishra was seriously injured in this, after getting him treated at CHC, his family took him to Chandausi. On the other hand, as soon as the news of the accident was received, a large number of MLA’s supporters and party workers reached the spot. Due to the accident, traffic on the route was also affected for some time. The police removed both the damaged vehicles from the road and restored the traffic.

CO Bisauli Anshuman Srivastava stated that MLA Ashutosh Maurya’s vehicle was involved in a road accident. He, his gunner, and the driver suffered minor injuries. Arvind Mishra, who was in the other vehicle, was injured. Everyone is safe after first aid. Necessary legal action is being taken in the matter.
