Reports indicate a fierce competition is underway between Sony, Saregama, and T-Series for the film’s music rights. It’s claimed that one company has offered approximately ₹50 crore (approximately $500 million) for the music rights alone. If this deal is finalized, “King” could become one of the most expensive music deals of recent times.

Big companies eye the music rights of ‘King’

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, music composer duo Sachin-Jigar have joined Shah Rukh Khan’s “King.” Given the tremendous buzz surrounding the film, its music rights are also considered extremely valuable.

The report claims that major music companies like Sony, Saregama, and T-Series are in the running to acquire the music rights to “King.” One of these companies has offered the makers approximately ₹50 crore. However, it is not yet clear which company has made this offer and with whom the deal will be finalized.

According to reports, T-Series is actively pursuing the music rights to “King.” However, the makers have yet to officially announce a deal with any company.

If this deal worth around Rs 50 crore is finalised, then ‘King’s name can be included in the biggest Hindi film music deals of the modern era.

Keeping an eye on the records of ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2’

“King’s” potential music deal of ₹50 crore is now being compared to other major films. Reports suggest that the music rights for both parts of “Ramayana” have been negotiated for a total of approximately ₹75 crore.

Meanwhile, it was claimed that T-Series spent approximately ₹58 crore on the music rights for “Dhurandhar 2.” So, if a deal of ₹50 crore is struck for “King,” it would be significant that this amount would be for the music rights of just one film.

‘King’ is very special for Suhana Khan

“King” is a significant film for Shah Rukh Khan as well as his daughter Suhana Khan. Suhana will be making her theatrical debut on the big screen with this film.

The film’s star cast is also said to be quite large. Besides Shah Rukh and Suhana, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Raghav Juyal are among the actors in the film.

According to reports, Siddharth Anand’s directorial “King” is now moving towards its final shooting schedule. The makers are reportedly looking for locations that haven’t been explored much in previous films.
