Bihar BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi reacted to the opposition’s protest in Parliament over the theft of Ram Temple offerings and the subsequent FIR filed against Rahul Gandhi and Purnia MP Pappu Yadav. He alleged that during the protest, Sanatan culture, Hindu traditions, and saints were ridiculed, which the people of the country will not accept.
Sanjay Saraogi said that the manner in which Rahul Gandhi, Pappu Yadav, and other opposition leaders protested in Parliament has hurt the sentiments of millions of Hindus.
During the protest, Sanatan culture and saints were mocked, which is an insult to India’s cultural tradition. He said that saints and sages have been symbols of Indian culture and spiritual tradition for centuries, and such mockery of them is unacceptable under any circumstances.
He said that this entire incident was witnessed by people across the country and has caused widespread resentment. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha has also taken this matter seriously. Sarawagi demanded a public apology from Rahul Gandhi, saying that if he did not do so, the public would protest him wherever he went across the country. He stated that the people of India would not tolerate any insult to their religious and cultural beliefs at any cost.
The BJP state president also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s stance on the Delimitation Bill. He said that initially, some states in South India feared that the number of their Lok Sabha seats might be reduced after delimitation.
However, the central government clarified in Parliament that no state would be treated unfairly and that the interests of all states would be taken into account. Sarawagi said that now that South Indian states are confident that they will receive balanced treatment, Rahul Gandhi is changing his stance.
According to him, such political maneuvering will not make any difference because delimitation is a national necessity and the expansion of Lok Sabha seats is essential to accommodate the growing population.
Welcoming the financial assistance released by the Central Government for Bihar’s development, Sanjay Sarawagi said that the Central Government has provided the state with ₹10,845 crore for development works, the second largest amount in the country.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this, he said that the Central Government has always prioritized Bihar’s development. This financial assistance will accelerate infrastructure, development schemes, and public welfare projects in the state.
Reacting to the recent terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP State President strongly condemned the incident. He said that asking a person’s name and then shooting him is a highly inhuman and condemnable act.
He said that one person died on the spot in this incident, while the other succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Sarawagi expressed confidence that the Central Government will take strict action against the culprits in this case.
He also objected to National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah’s comments on this issue, saying that such statements send a wrong message. Saraogi claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terrorist activities in the country have been effectively controlled.
He said that during Operation Sindoor, Indian security forces targeted and destroyed terrorist hideouts within Pakistan, leading to a significant reduction in terrorist incidents in major cities. However, he acknowledged that the recent incident in Jammu and Kashmir is extremely serious and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
