Lucknow. The monsoon has once again picked up speed in Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity will intensify in most parts of the state in the coming days. Especially between August 4th and August 10th, many districts may experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning.

Rain will start from the Terai region

According to meteorologists, the Terai region will be the first to be affected by the continued influx of moisture from the Bay of Bengal and the monsoon trough moving towards Uttar Pradesh. Rain is expected to begin Saturday and Sunday in Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Bahraich, Shravasti, and Balrampur, along with surrounding districts. After this, the rain will gradually spread to other parts of central, eastern, and western Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rain forecast in many districts

Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in various areas of the state starting August 4th. Strong winds are possible in many places, and there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning. The Meteorological Department is constantly monitoring the situation and issuing alerts from time to time.

Caution is necessary for people and farmers

People have been advised to avoid standing in open fields, near tall trees, and power poles during rain and thunderstorms. Farmers have also been advised to check the latest weather forecast before working in the fields to avoid any untoward incidents.

The Meteorological Department believes that the monsoon will remain fully active in the state for the next few days. Therefore, citizens are advised to remain vigilant, monitor weather updates, and follow the instructions of local authorities in case of any emergency.
