CLAT 2027 Registration: The application process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), begins today, August 3, at 10:00 AM. Interested candidates can apply via the official website until October 31, 2026.

The CLAT 2027 exam is scheduled for December 6, 2026. It will be held at various centers across the country from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Admit cards are expected to be released approximately two weeks before the exam date and can be downloaded by candidates from the official website.

CLAT 2027 Exam Pattern: Know the Exam Pattern
There have been no changes to the CLAT 2027 syllabus or exam pattern this year; candidates will take the exam in the same format as before.

The CLAT 2027 exam will be conducted in offline mode. The question paper will consist of 120 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). These questions will cover five key subjects: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

What is the application fee?
Candidates belonging to the General category applying for CLAT 2027 must pay an application fee of ₹4,000, while candidates from reserved categories must pay ₹3,500. The fee must be paid online to complete the application process.

Admission to NLUs through CLAT
CLAT is one of the country's premier law entrance examinations. It facilitates admission to 5-year integrated LLB and 1-year LLM courses offered by 26 National Law Universities (NLUs). Admission to these programs for the 2027-28 academic session will be based on CLAT 2027 scores.

Who can apply?
UG (Undergraduate) Course: Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board or be appearing for the Class 12 examination in 2027. Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, EWS, and other related categories must have secured at least 45% marks. A minimum of 40% marks is required for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories.

PG (Postgraduate) Course: Candidates must possess an LLB degree or an equivalent qualification. 50% marks are required for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while 45% marks are required for the SC/ST categories. Final-year LLB students may also apply, provided they fulfill the requisite qualification criteria at the time of admission.
