JKSSB Recruitment 2026: The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of a total of 357 posts—comprising Draftsman (Civil) and Works Supervisor—in the Public Works (R&B) Department. This recruitment will be conducted across various divisions of Jammu & Kashmir.

The online application process for this recruitment began on August 1, 2026, and candidates can apply until August 30, 2026. Applications have been invited for two distinct posts under this notification.

Who can apply?
For the post of Draftsman (Civil), candidates must possess a certificate or diploma in a two-year Draftsman training course from a government-recognized institute. This qualification is essential for tasks related to civil drafting.

For the post of Works Supervisor, passing the Matriculation (10th standard) examination is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must hold an ITI certificate in the Building Construction or Carpentry trade, recognized by the J&K Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) or the Directorate General of Training, Government of India.

What is the salary?

Candidates selected for the post of Draftsman (Civil) under the JKSSB Recruitment 2026 will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level-4). Meanwhile, for the post of Works Supervisor, the salary will range from ₹15,900 to ₹50,400 per month, in accordance with the SL-2 pay scale.

**Application Fee**
For JKSSB Recruitment 2026, candidates belonging to the OM, OBC, ALC-IB, and RBA categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹600. For candidates in the SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS, and PwBD categories, the application fee has been set at ₹500.

**Selection Process**
Selection for the Draftsman (Civil) and Works Supervisor posts under JKSSB Recruitment 2026 will be based on a written examination. The exam will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), and the question paper will be in English only.
Negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) of a mark will apply for every incorrect answer.
The detailed syllabus for the examination will be released separately on the official JKSSB website.
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for Document Verification, where they must present all their original certificates.

**Documents Required for Document Verification**
At the time of Document Verification (DV), candidates must carry the following documents:

Printout of the online application form.
Valid Domicile Certificate.
Original certificates of educational and technical qualifications.
Category certificate for candidates claiming reservation benefits.
Birth certificate or other valid document as proof of date of birth.
Equivalence/authenticity certificate for candidates who obtained their degree from a university outside Jammu & Kashmir (where applicable).
Ex-serviceman certificate in the prescribed format for ex-serviceman candidates.
Two recent passport-sized color photographs. The original copy of any one valid photo identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card, Voter ID, driving license, PAN card, or passport.
