UPPSC PCS 2026 Registration: The application process for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) PCS 2026 examination is in its final stage. Candidates who have not yet applied can complete their application by visiting the Commission's official website by August 3. An OTR (One Time Registration) number is mandatory for the application.

Additionally, if any errors remain in the form after the application process is completed, candidates will be able to modify their application forms until August 18, 2026.

**Recruitment for 500 Posts**
Under the UPPSC PCS 2026 recruitment drive, appointments will initially be made for approximately 500 posts. However, the number of posts may change after receiving final vacancy details from the concerned departments.

What are the age limit rules?
For this recruitment, the candidates' age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to the General category must be between 21 and 40 years of age. Meanwhile, the maximum age limit for Persons with Disabilities (PH) is set at 55 years. For the post of Principal (Government Inter College), the age limit is 30 to 40 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation benefits in accordance with government rules.

Both papers of the preliminary examination will be of the objective type (MCQ). There will be negative marking of 1/3 (0.33) marks for every incorrect answer. Paper-II (CSAT) will be qualifying in nature, requiring candidates to secure a minimum of 33 percent marks. The merit list for the preliminary examination will be prepared solely based on the marks obtained in Paper-I (General Studies). Candidates numbering approximately 15 times the total vacancies who qualify in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear for the main examination.

All question papers in the main examination will be descriptive in nature, with a duration of 3 hours allotted for each paper. Candidates are required to secure the prescribed minimum marks in General Hindi. Based on the results of the main examination, candidates numbering approximately three times the number of vacant posts will be called for the interview.

Interview and Personality Test
Candidates who qualify in the main examination will be called for an interview carrying 100 marks. This stage evaluates the candidate's general knowledge, awareness, intelligence, personality, communication skills, and suitability for administrative service. Candidates must bring their original certificates and passport-sized photographs at the time of the interview. Government or central employees must also submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department. Meanwhile, the preference for posts will be recorded during the interview, and no changes can be made to it subsequently.
