LPG Price Today, 3 August 2026: What are the prices for domestic and commercial LPG cylinders today? Find out which cylinders offer relief and what the latest rates are in various cities.

LPG Price Today, 3 August 2026: The beginning of August brought relief to business owners, and that relief continues today. On August 1, oil marketing companies slashed the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by over ₹200. Cylinders are being sold at these same rates on August 3 as well. Meanwhile, there has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders today.

What changes have occurred regarding domestic LPG?

If you are planning to book a domestic gas cylinder, there is no need to worry about the price for now. Domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged; there has been no hike or reduction since August 1.

What is the situation with commercial gas cylinders?

The start of August was positive for those in the hotel, restaurant, catering, and food businesses. The benefit of the significant price cut on commercial cylinders from August 1 is still being felt today. In fact, commercial LPG cylinder prices have seen consistent relief over the past two months. On July 1, the price of a 19 kg cylinder was reduced by ₹183.50, and on August 1, there was another major cut—₹202 in Delhi, ₹209 in Kolkata, and over ₹200 in Mumbai and Chennai. This means that in just 31 days, commercial cylinders have become cheaper by approximately ₹385–₹390. These rates remain in effect on August 3, with no new changes announced by oil marketing companies.

Will domestic cylinders become cheaper?

Domestic LPG prices are determined based on international LPG rates, the dollar-rupee exchange rate, freight costs, and government policies. Currently, there has been no change in these rates. If prices in the global market continue to soften, domestic consumers could potentially see some relief in the coming months. However, no official announcement regarding this has been made yet.
