Domestic stock market opened strong in early trade, Sensex and Nifty rose

The domestic stock market today maintained a strong trend during early trading. Trading began with gains.

Although both the Sensex and Nifty indices declined due to selling pressure as soon as the market opened, buyers soon regained their buying momentum.

As buying resumed, both indices gained momentum. After the first hour of trading, the Sensex and Nifty were trading with gains of 0.80 percent.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a gain of 788.70 points, or 1.01 percent, at 78,883.34. Selling pressure soon followed, causing the index to fall nearly 400 points from its opening level to 78,497.34.

Buyers then resumed their buying momentum, leading to a resurgence in the index’s movement. After the first hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, the Sensex was trading at 78,719.66 points, up 625.02 points at 10:15 am.

Like the Sensex, the NSE Nifty also opened trading today, jumping 189.10 points, or 0.78 percent, to 24,572.70 points.

As soon as the market opened, the index fell nearly 60 points from its opening level under selling pressure, reaching 24,515.15 points. Buyers then took charge and began buying across the board.

Continuous buying led to a resurgence in the index’s movement. After the first hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, the Nifty was trading at 24,578.30 points, up 194.70 points at 10:15 am.

After the first hour of trading, shares of ITC, InterGlobe Aviation, Shriram Finance, Jio Financial, and TCS, among the leading stock market companies, were trading with gains ranging from 2.61 percent to 1.88 percent.

On the other hand, shares of Sun Pharmaceuticals, Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, Cipla, and Eternal were trading with losses ranging from 2.44 percent to 0.17 percent.

As of today, 2,875 stocks were actively trading in the stock market. Of these, 2,372 stocks were trading in the green with gains, while 503 were trading in the red with losses.

Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 26 stocks remained in the green with buying support. On the other hand, four stocks were trading in the red due to selling pressure.

Whereas out of the 50 stocks included in Nifty, 42 stocks were seen trading in the green mark and eight stocks were seen trading in the red mark.

Earlier, on Friday, the last trading day of the previous week, Sensex had closed at 78,094.64 points with a gain of 166.49 points or 0.21 percent.

On the other hand, Nifty had ended Friday’s trading at 24,383.60 points with a jump of 66.45 points or 0.27 percent.
