The result of the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 written examination has been released. According to information provided by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), a total of 76,184 candidates have been declared successful for the Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (DV/PST).
**Document Verification and PST Scheduled from August 17**
According to the notice shared by the Board, the DV and PST will be conducted first this time, with the process proposed to begin on August 17, 2026. Only those candidates who succeed in this stage will be invited to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET will be conducted in September 2026, following the PST.
**When Will DV-PST Admit Cards Be Released?**
The UPPRPB may make the admit cards for the DV-PST available for download 10 days prior to the start of the test. Consequently, it is expected that the admit cards will be released on August 7 or 8. Candidates will find information regarding admit cards and exam dates on the official website.
**What Is the DV-PST Process?**
Candidates who passed the written examination will first undergo Document Verification (DV) by the UP Police Department. Additionally, all candidates must participate in the Physical Standard Test (PST). During this stage, the candidates' height, weight, and chest measurements (for males only) will be recorded. Candidates will be considered qualified for the running test only if they successfully clear this stage.
**Required Height**
To qualify for the PST, candidates from the General, OBC, and SC categories must have a minimum height of 168 cm. Additionally, the chest measurement must be 79 cm (unexpanded) and 84 cm (expanded). For candidates belonging to the SC category, the minimum height is set at 160 cm, with chest measurements of 77 cm (unexpanded) and 82 cm (expanded).
The minimum height for the female category is set at 152 cm, while for female candidates belonging to the ST category, the minimum height is set at 147 cm.
