New Delhi: The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 tournament is going to be held soon. The Indian women’s team has been announced for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2026 tournament. The Indian selection committee has announced a 15-member team. Harmanpreet Kaur has been entrusted with the leadership of the Indian team. While the explosive batsman Smriti Mandhana will take charge as the vice-captain.

The Indian women’s team includes players like Shefali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Phoolmali, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh, Kranti Goud, Sree Charani, Nandini Sharma, and G Kamalini.

However, due to injury, Shreyanka Patil was not given a place in the team. She is still recovering from the leg injury she suffered in the World Cup. Due to this, she had to withdraw from the World Cup as well. Therefore, she was not given a place in the Asian Women’s Championship. She is likely to make a comeback in the Indian team in the Asian Games.

The selection committee has given a chance to leg-spinner Prema Rawat instead of Shreyanka Patil. Prema Rawat has been given a chance to replace Shreyanka in the World Cup. The full schedule of the Women’s Asia Cup has not been revealed yet. However, according to the information that has come to light, this tournament can be played in the last week of August or in the month of September. Immediately after that, the Asian Games will be organized from 17 to 22 September.
