Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Cody Gakpo, with Sky Sports reporting that the Liverpool forward is among the club’s attacking targets during this summer window.

New Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi wants to bring in at least one wide forward after reinforcing his midfield and defence, but Liverpool are unwilling to let the Netherlands international leave unless they first bring in a replacement.

The same report adds that Liverpool are expected to make a formal approach for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, although the France international would require a massive fee, with PSG valuing the 23-year-old at about £145million.

Gakpo, who still has four years left on his Liverpool contract, is seen as one of the more experienced attackers in Andoni Iraola’s squad and is also capable of offering cover centrally while Hugo Ekitike continues his recovery from an Achilles injury.

Spurs are also interested in signing Manchester City winger Savinho.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are moving closer to completing the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United. The Times report that the Brazil midfielder is set to undergo a medical before a deal worth close to £80million.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United have completed the signing of Lukas Hornicek after the Magpies activated the Braga goalkeeper’s £25.7million release clause.

Fulham are on the verge of sealing a double move involving Real Madrid, with striker Gonzalo Garcia and midfielder Cesar Palacios both undergoing medicals ahead of permanent transfers.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have completed the signing of the versatile Valentin Barco and are also continuing their efforts to finalise a deal for Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarría.
