In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Kollywood actor Suriya opened up about reshooting Karuppu’s climax six months after the initial wrap. Suriya was in the middle of shooting his upcoming family drama Vishwanath and Sons when Balaji told him he wasn’t happy with the climax. As Karuppu had already wrapped, Suriya was clean-shaven for Venky Atluri’s directorial. “After six months of pack-up, wrap, shoot, edit locked, then this idea comes up. Then I had to go from Hyderabad to Chennai for two days. I just prayed to the statue and said just guide me… just come inside me and guide me,” said Suriya.
