Reliance Jio has launched new “JioHome Packs” focused on home broadband, live TV, and OTT streaming. The company has set these plans at a starting price of ₹400 per month, which includes a TV-only option. Customers can also choose from Wi-Fi-only plans or a combo plan with Wi-Fi, TV, and OTT, depending on their needs.

This step is designed to provide relief to households that don’t need all of Jio’s services under a single subscription. Importantly, you don’t need to already have a Jio SIM to get a new connection; Jio service must be available in your area.

JioHome TV-only pack 

A one-time payment of ₹2,000 is required for 5 months, making it an effective cost of ₹400 per month. It offers access to over 1,000 live TV channels, YouTube streaming on TV, and the option to pause or resume live programs. The company is also offering access to over 12 entertainment apps as part of its welcome offer. This pack doesn’t include internet connectivity, making it ideal for homes with existing broadband or those who only want to watch TV channels.

JioHome Wi-Fi-only plans

Those who only need high-speed internet can choose between 30Mbps and 100Mbps. The plan costs ₹2,200 for 5 months, which translates to a monthly cost of approximately ₹440. The 100Mbps plan costs ₹600 per month. You can also get it for ₹1,500 for 2 months or ₹3,000 for 5 months.

Note: These Wi-Fi only plans will not offer TV or OTT app benefits.

Wi-Fi, TV and OTT Combo Pack

If you want to enjoy the full entertainment along with internet, the company has also introduced combo plans:

The 30Mbps combo pack, with a validity of 4 months (including 1 month free), costs ₹2,222. Its effective monthly cost is ₹555. The 100Mbps combo pack, with a validity of 3 months (including 1 month free), costs ₹2,122. Its effective monthly cost is ₹707.

Both these bundled plans offer unlimited Wi-Fi along with access to 1,000+ live TV channels and over 12 premium OTT apps like JioHotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV and Sun NXT.

Availability and installation

According to Jio, new customers will be provided with doorstep installation and customer support. However, the cost of a new connection will depend on network and service availability in your area.
