Skoda has been in the Indian market for over 25 years, and it was only recently that the brand managed to crack the code with its made-in-India products. Its new strategy has helped Skoda expand its presence in the country. As part of its ongoing plans, the company aims to strengthen its lineup by updating existing models and introducing new ones. Here are four upcoming Skoda cars that are expected to launch in India soon.

Skoda has been testing the facelifted Slavia sedan on Indian roads for some time now. According to the latest reports, the updated Slavia is likely to be launched on 18 August 2026. The facelift is expected to bring a revised front grille, a dotted LED light bar integrated into the grille, redesigned headlamps, a refreshed front bumper, updated LED tail lamps, new alloy wheels, and several other cosmetic enhancements.

The cabin is expected to remain largely unchanged, with most features carried over from the current model. The 1.0-litre TSI engine is expected to be paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission alongside the existing 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.5-litre TSI engine will continue to be offered exclusively with the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The Skoda Kylaq is currently the brand’s best-selling SUV in India. Skoda is now planning to introduce a Sportline variant of this sub-4-metre SUV later this year. The Sportline will feature a sportier appearance with blacked-out exterior elements and unique styling details.

It remains to be seen whether Skoda will introduce its new 8-speed automatic transmission with the Sportline variant or reserve it for a future update. The SUV will continue to be powered by the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque.

Skoda is not just focusing on made-in-India products; it also continues to bring CBU models to the country from time to time. After the overwhelming response to the first batch, Skoda is now planning to bring a second batch of the Octavia RS to India.

The performance sedan comes loaded with premium features such as an electric sunroof, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Canton audio system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, and more.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque.

Skoda also plans to reintroduce diesel engines in select models in India. The company announced its intentions to bring back diesel-powered cars last year, and the Superb is expected to be one of the first models to receive this powertrain.

The diesel-powered Superb has already been spotted testing in India and is expected to be launched around the festive season this year. It will be sold as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and imported in limited numbers.

The premium sedan will be powered by a 2.0-litre TDI turbo-diesel engine paired with a DSG automatic transmission. Power will be sent to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
