The ICC also stated that the player deleted data and messages from his mobile device that could have been crucial to the investigation. This was considered an obstruction to the investigation process.

Akhilesh Reddy was born on April 28, 2000, in the United States. However, he was raised in Hyderabad. He played domestic cricket in the 2020-21 season, being part of Hyderabad’s Vijay Hazare Trophy team. Seeking better opportunities, he later switched to American cricket and played four T20 Internationals for the United States national team, taking one wicket. His international debut came against the Cayman Islands in the North America T20 Cup.
